REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in the field of Public Administration/ Human resources with 3-5 years supervisory experience in the HR environment. Computer Literacy. Valid Driver’s Licence. Qualification as a Skills Development Facilitator will be an added advantage Competencies: Knowledge of a variety of work ranges and procedures such as Finance, Human Resource matters, training, and development, planning and organizing, administration procedures relating to the specific working environment, how to research/gather information and analyze. Should have the following skills: problem-solving organizing, strategic planning computer utilization, financial management, change/diversity management, team building, conflict resolution, presentation, and facilitation. Communication verbal exchange of information requiring specialized responses, complex information requiring difficult explanation with tact and diplomacy, motivation, complex notes, memos, and reports.

DUTIES: Monitor the co-ordination of training and development interventions, co-ordinate the identification of training and developmental needs, co-ordinate and oversee the development of and monitor the implementation of workplace skills plan for the entire department, ensure the coordination and implementation of service delivery improvement program, ensure co-ordination of training and development programs (including learner ships) manage the co-ordination of Provincial Training Committee and District Training committees, co-ordinate the training and implementation reports for all directorates and manages personnel.

All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be communicated by the Department. Following the interview and technical exercise, the Selection Committee will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment (in compliance with the DPSA Directive on the implementation of Competency-Based Assessments). The Competency-Based Assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS Competency Assessment tools. Preference will be given to persons from designated groups including persons with disabilities.
